Friendships and bicycle adventures

While adventure cycling, your highs become higher, your lows become lower, you sweat on the climbs and you chill on the descent. You urge your legs to the top and you thrill as you soar like an eagle down the other side. Headwinds demolish your energy while tailwinds delight your senses in every cell of your body. But this one thing is certain: friendship forges out of the shared rhythm created as you pedal down the road. Friendship bonds your hearts while you watch the embers of the campfire after a long day’s ride. Adventure cycling creates a bond in people more powerful than the spokes on a wheel or the chain on the sprocket or the tire rolling on the road. It reaches into the ethereal realm as one of the greatest miracles of the universe. To share the bicycle highway with a friend may be counted as one of life’s greatest gifts.
