Around the World Travel Radio Correspondent

Update: A little-known fact about me: I used to be a radio correspondent. I was the Bicycling Ambassador on Around the World Travel Radio until they went off the air. I also did dozens of other radio interviews in various countries, including the Fitness Guru on Sirius Radio and many impromptu interviews. Here are a few that I managed to save.

Part I. My bicycle trip around the world. *

Part II. More about my trip around the world on a bicycle.

Scott’s bicycling book tour begins. More here.

Learning how to fly. More here.

Returning home as an essential part of travel. More here.

RAGBRAI: The world’s largest bike ride. More here.

Learning how to fly

A story about my first flying lesson. My instructor was a stunt pilot and gave me one golden rule: “Don’t turn the plane upside down. It’s not designed for that.”

Over 500 children and teachers standing on the playground in the shape of giant bicycle.

Bicycle-shaped Kids

This is quite probably the best photograph that I ever took, which after taking pictures of world wonders, like the sphinx and the Parthenon, means a lot.
