Are you a flutterby?

Our Backyard Adventures are fun and easy mini-expeditions that you can do — you guessed it! — right in your own backyard. These activities are designed to help students and parents explore the world with eyes of wonder. Along the way, you might discover new areas of interest, new dreams and potential new careers.

Your adventure should you choose to accept it is…

Challenge: Are you a butterfly or a flutterby?

Do you stop to smell the flowers and sip the nectar of life? Or do you just flutter past everything and let your beautiful wings get caught in the winds of life? Or do you resemble another kind of bug? Do you sting like a bee? Or are you sweet like honey?

ASSIGNMENT: Your adventure, should you choose to accept it, is to observe the insects in your backyard and draw a picture or photograph the one that you think you resemble the most. Give the picture a caption with your explanation, like the one above.
